Trumpeter 1/72 British AS-90 SPG (by Murad Özer)

Hello fellow modellers.

Here's an AS-90 finished in a worn out desert camo. Since the British sand color was applied atop the regular green & black BAOR camo there were a lot of reference pictures showing heavy paint chipping around the crew access and driver's hatches over the internet, which i tried to mimic these wear and tear along with oil and grime to the best of my ability in this scale.

The stowage on the rooftop is hand made out of tin foil and the base is paper mache as usual with emphasis on minimal space loss, hence the unusual shape (chocolate box - MacGyver!) and tight object placement.

To liven up the things around the vehicle i've painted the rocks, faking the shadows somewhat.

The vegetation is a strand of modelling moss.

Happy modelling folks and thank you MiniAFV!

Murad Özer...

Thank you for sharing Murad.
